Manheim Appointed to National Economic Development Advisory Committee

Elgin, IL – Chris Manheim, CEcD, President of Manheim Solutions, Inc., was recently appointed to the Education and Certification Advisory Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The Education and Certification Advisory Committee assists in the development of new Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) exam content and provides input to help shape the relevancy and content of professional development courses, including advanced courses.

Since 1997, Mr. Manheim has been a regular presenter at the IEDC’s Illinois Basic Economic Development Course, and since 2009, a presenter at IEDC advanced courses in conjunction with its national conferences. He has lectured on the subjects of Developing Community Economic Development Strategic Plans, Business Retention and Expansion and, more recently, Workforce Development. During the past 20 years, Mr. Manheim has served as President of the Mid-America Economic Development Council and as a Director of the Illinois Development Council. He is also an Authorized ACT WorkKeys® Job Profiler.
